PEX manifold w/ valve –open ends can be used at a continuation of the trunk line
A very novel and indigenous heating system was devices after all the previous systems had some difficulty or the other. In some of the previous methods hot water was sent through lead pipes. The practice was discontinued because of the toxicity of the lead. A fire was kept burning in the house to keep the people warm. This practiced had to be stopped too. The new radiant heating system replaced all the older systems. It uses the same old hot water circulation but in a different way. The pipes are under the floor and secondly the material of the pipes is PEX.
Manifold is a very important device which facilitates the whole distribution system. Hot water has to be distributed to all the rooms and re distributed in every room. Number of manifolds are used for the purpose. There are various kinds of manifolds which are used for different purposes. Some have closed end some are open ends and also come with different mixing valve systems. PEX manifold w/ valve – open ends is a manifold which has both ends open so that water can flow through it. It is used to continue a trunk line.
Manifold is a short pipes of copper pipe of one inch with inlet and outlets of 3/4″. It means a PEX pipe of 3/4″ can be attached at both the ends for the water to continue. This pipe has 4,5or 6 outlets to one side with valves fit to them. These outlet pipes are connected to PEX pipes which are under the floor. Similarly a manifold is used outside the boiler to distribute water to different rooms. The outlet portals can be marked to recognize the destination of the marked pipe. Each outlet on the side of the pipe is of 1/2″.
PEX manifold w/ valve – open ends come with a great advantage. Water can be shut off in pipes which are damaged or need a repair without disturbing the whole house or even the adjacent pipe. There are mechanical device called valves for the purpose. These valves have to be turned by a quarter to stop or let the flow of water in the pipes. The valve handles are attached to a ball like structure which is inside the pipe. The block of metal has a passage through it to allow water when aligned. Any device is suppose to create comfort for its user and it is what a PEX manifold w/ valves – open ends does.
